Virginia Samford Theatre—The award-winning arts literacy initiative, STARS (Students Take A Role at the Samford), presents “Children of Eden,” written by Stephen Schwartz. Designed for middle and high school student audiences, the program features youth performers under the direction of Alabama Teacher of the Year and Troy University Theatre professor, Roy Hudson. Freely based on the story of Genesis, Children of Eden is a frank, heartfelt and often humorous examination of the age-old conflict between parents and children. VST Mainstage tickets: $20 adult; student rush $15 – 1 hour prior to performances. Feb. 18-19 & 24, 7:30 p.m.; Feb. 20 & 27, 2:30 p.m.
