When it comes to celebrating the arts, Alabama is the place to look for festivals that unleash the creative spirit. In 2007, you can head down to Mobile for the 55th Annual Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival on March 16-18. This juried art show features more than 245 exhibitors from throughout the nation and attracts more than 200,000 visitors. On the northern end of the state is the Panoply Arts Festival at Big Spring International Park in Huntsville on April 27-29. Fall brings Birmingham's Bluff Park Art Fest on Oct. 6, featuring the works of visual artists from across the country mixed with live jazz performances. And of course, folk art lovers should always check out the Kentuck Festival of the Arts, Alabama's premiere arts festival, taking place Oct. 20-21 in Northport. Start filling in your calendar now!
